Fun (and educational)
I've not had a website in over a decade. The thought of creating a website that was simply a live extension of my resume made me want to crawl out of my skin. Website builders didn't scratch the itch. My own knowledge was (and continues to be, let's be real) not enough to create a digital space that felt like my own. So I decided to relearn.
Also: social media sucks.
I've been spending less time on those sites and more time clicking through websites that lead me down the rabbit hole. Art, shrines, more things that bring me back to the feelings I had when first exploring the internet. My news consumption is relegated to a RSS feed. It feels like the digital equivalent of touching grass, of relearning the concept of not being constantly immediately available.
It's done wonders for my mental health.
